From the excitement of the Victorian York Gala, an annual tradition for 60 years, to the Swinging Sixties, a pivotal decade for the city, enjoy a programme packed with history and nostalgia with entertainers, games and crafts, music, floral displays and seasonal decor.

• A soundtrack of a generation with live music from the decade on the Sixties Street

• Historic talks exploring Kirkgate and York Castle Prison
